June Melby is a writer and performer based in Iowa. She has published poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, toured the U.S. and internationally many times, and recorded several cd's of original music and poetry.

Currently she works as a private writing coach. She is completing her first book,
Little House on the Astroturf, a memoir about the love, loss, and loathing of her family's miniature golf course (built circa 1959).
