June Melby is a writer and performer based in Iowa. She has published poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, toured the U.S. and internationally many times, and recorded several cd's of original music and poetry.(read complete bio)
In 2009 she received an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from the University of Iowa.
Currently she is completing her first book, My Family and Other Hazards
, a memoir about the love, loss, and loathing of her family's miniature golf course (built circa 1959), which is forthcoming on Henry Holt & Co. She teaches creative writing at Luther College.(Read some short pieces.)
